Option 1: Parenting

If you’re thinking about making the choice to parent, we can walk alongside you and help you prepare for the adventure ahead.
Parenting brings with it much responsibility, but also great joy. Whether you would become a single parent or you are parenting together, you are faced with many decisions to make for you and your baby. While every pregnancy may not be planned, every parent can prepare to lovingly care for their little one. We can help provide the practical resources you will need to provide for your baby’s arrival.
Is parenting the right choice for me? Before you decide if parenting is the right choice for you, we want you to carefully evaluate your situation. Meeting with a counselor can help you organize your thoughts and think about parenting as an option. Our help is designed to get you started on the path to self-sufficiency. We have a large network of community resources that LOVE moms and are waiting to embrace you and give you ongoing mentoring and support. We are here to help you address your concerns, offer you support, and help you find the resources needed to parent.

Option 2: Abortion

If you are facing an unplanned pregnancy, you may be considering having an abortion. An Abortion is the termination of your pregnancy. When considering this option, it is important to understand what an abortion will do to your body, both during the procedure and after. An Abortion is not just a simple medical procedure. For many women, it is a life changing event with significant physical, emotional, and spiritual consequences. Most women who struggle with past abortions say that they wish they had been told all of the facts about abortion and its risks.
There are both medical and surgical abortions available. The types of abortion that may be available to you will depend on a variety of factors, including how far along you are in your pregnancy. At The Nest, we do not refer nor perform abortions. However, you are entitled to understanding all of your options so that you can make a fully informed decision. Our trained client advocates are available to answer those questions and go over abortion procedures with you, should you want to ask any questions.

Whether you are considering abortion or not, you'll want to consider need to know:
Are you really pregnant?  How far along are you?
It is recommended that you have a positive pregnancy test and an ultrasound to confirm a viable pregnancy before making a decision.
We can imagine that there are a million different thoughts racing through your mind at this exact moment and we are here to help you sort through your questions and concerns. Many of us have been where you are and know how you feel.  You are not alone.

Option 3: Adoption

Is adoption be a good option for you?
Adoption is often overlooked as an option for women facing unplanned pregnancies. Making an adoption plan is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make. It is a decision that takes courage and maturity, and it involves putting the needs and best interests of the child first. Adoption may look a lot different than what you’ve heard, or imagined. Each woman’s situation is different, and so your reasons for considering adoption will be unique. You can select the parents. You can decide your baby’s future. You are always in control of your decision.

MANY TYPES OF ADOPTION PLANS ARE AVAILABLE:
Open Adoption:
This gives everyone involved the opportunity to communicate directly with each other. There is open sharing of identifying information about birth parents and adoptive families. There is continued contact after the baby is placed in an adoptive family. Pictures, letters, and visits may be arranged.
Semi-Open Adoption: This gives both families an opportunity to develop a relationship over time through an intermediary. It permits sharing some information, but not things that are too personal.
Closed Adoption: This provides total confidentiality for adoptive and birth parents.

We can connect you with local professionals who can help you as you consider this option. Whether you choose to parent your baby or place your baby in an adoptive home, your choice can be made with the support of caring people. The Nest is here to support and encourage you.
